Custom steel doors and steel windows across Dallas–Fort Worth.

From Highland Park to Fort Worth's west side, Mod Metal Doors designs and installs custom steel doors and steel windows throughout DFW, and the entire product line travels: every door and window we make is available on every Dallas–Fort Worth project. The Mediterranean and traditional estates of the Park Cities and Preston Hollow call for steel french doors, arch-top entries that outclass ornamental iron doors, and divided-light steel windows set into brick and limestone; Westlake, Southlake, and Colleyville lean contemporary with pivot entries, black steel casement windows, and sliding glass walls. In the Prosper–Celina–Frisco corridor, custom builders use our Builder Program to hold one steel standard across entire communities. Everything is fabricated in our Central Texas shop and installed in DFW by the same crew that welded it.

Communities we serve

Dallas – Fort Worth: 9 Communities

These are the communities we work in most often, not a boundary. We install custom steel doors and windows anywhere in Dallas – Fort Worth and beyond.

Highland Park

The most prestigious address in Dallas, where Mediterranean villas and traditional estates line streets defined by symmetry and masonry. Arch-top steel entries with true-radius curves, double doors with sidelights and transoms, and divided-light steel windows are the natural vocabulary here. Modern steel drawn in classic profiles that earns its place in this neighborhood.

University Park

Adjacent to Highland Park and sharing its architectural character, University Park's custom homes favor traditional proportions and quality materials. Double door entries with transoms, divided-light steel windows in brick and limestone facades, and steel entry systems with sidelights are standard on new builds and major renovations throughout.

Westlake

The highest-end community in all of DFW, with gated enclaves like Vaquero and Terrabella where architecture reflects no budget constraint. Contemporary and transitional builds lead with pivot entries, floor-to-ceiling fixed and casement steel windows, and sliding glass walls connecting main living to outdoor rooms, often at a scale where the glass becomes the architecture.

Southlake

Large custom estates on generous lots, with an architectural range from traditional brick and stone to clean contemporary. Steel entry systems anchor arrival sequences on both vocabularies, and steel casement and fixed windows are common across the full range of Southlake's custom home market.

Colleyville

A mature, upscale community between Southlake and Grapevine where estate homes sit on established lots. Renovation and rebuild activity is strong, with buyers upgrading entry doors, replacing builder-grade windows with slim-profile steel frames, and adding interior steel doors as part of whole-home refresh projects.

Preston Hollow

Old Dallas on wooded estate lots, where entries are architectural statements. Double doors with sidelights and transoms, arch-top entries on traditional builds, and steel window replacements on renovation projects are all common here. Teardown-and-rebuild activity continues to grow as buyers pursue contemporary homes on established Preston Hollow addresses.

Prosper

A fast-growing luxury corridor where high-net-worth buyers are building primary residences on larger lots. Contemporary and modern farmhouse plans dominate, calling for steel entry systems with pivot doors, sliding walls to outdoor entertaining, and exterior steel window runs as the most-specified finishes at this price point.

Celina

Growing alongside Prosper at the leading edge of DFW's luxury expansion, Celina's custom market calls for pivot entries, corner glass units, and exterior steel window packages that distinguish homes in a new-build market where design standards are rising quickly.

Frisco

One of the fastest-growing cities in the country, Frisco's upper-tier custom homes are a consistent source of work. Contemporary and transitional architecture at this price point calls for cohesive steel window packages and entry systems that read premium from the street.
